To unify the health care system and its partners to strengthen community resilience.
AzCHER-Central has an integrated and adaptable community-wide preparedness, response, and recovery system across the spectrum of healthcare delivery, with a stable and accountable organizational structure and invested community partners.
The Arizona Coalition for Healthcare Emergency Response – Central Region (AzCHER-Central) works to facilitate collaboration among public health, healthcare, pre-hospital entities, and various community partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from an emergency or disaster in the Central Region of Arizona. The Central Region is composed of Gila, Maricopa, and Pinal Counties.
The goal of AzCHER-Central is to develop effective streams of communication and processes for resource sharing among healthcare entities so that, in the event normal, day-to-day operations or standard operating procedures become disrupted or overwhelmed due to a large-scale emergency or disaster, participating entities can cooperate and collaborate to continue delivering optimal healthcare services.
