OUR GOALS

AzCHER-Central established specific goals and objectives for the five-year period 2017-2022 during its strategic planning process. Taken into consideration were the ASPR-issued Health Care Preparedness and Response Capabilities as well as the funding requirements stipulated in the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) funding opportunity announcement for the current cooperative agreement.

GOAL 1 – RELATIONSHIPS

Enhance “Systemness” through Strengthened Partnerships

Objective 1a: Facilitate communication and coordination pathways

Objective 1b: Increase multi-disciplinary membership and participation

Objective 1c: Identify, communicate, and deliver on the benefits of partnership

GOAL 2 – PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Facilitate Improvement in the Emergency Management Process

Objective 2a: Lead the EM system’s information and resource sharing

Objective 2b: Identify gaps, assess their causes, and create solutions

Objective 2c: Establish an inclusive program of planning, training, exercising, and evaluating

GOAL 3 – SERVE AS A RESOURCE

Serve as a Resource to Enhance Emergency Preparedness/Response Capabilities

Objective 3a: Identify and share best practices that encourage uniformity with Emergency Management standards and practices

Objective 3b: Provide tools, resources, and templates that incorporate uniform principles of Emergency Management

Objective 3c: Establish a mentorship/consulting program for individuals and facilities
